Bumming around day

Hey there.
Had a massive lazy day today. After tending to sick Harry all week, who is back to his annoying and adorable self, (thanks for asking) and having paperific all day yesterday, I am a bit worn out. So today the kids and I just did nothing. Bit of housework, bit of painting a cute little mini album I am starting, and will no doubt take me weeks, bit of watching my banned TV series, which is compelling, not only for the funny one liners, and great acting, but for the shear content. To imagine that this actually happened, even if it was only 10% real, is horrifying. The disregard for human life, the greed and the god complexes is unbelievable. Gosh you just never know what goes on in the houses up the street.
As for tonight I am back to my regular viewing. Dance of course -Rhys the elf is so hot, LOL. And then there is Greys and Brothers and Sisters. Greys is a bit lack lustre for me, but I love Bro and Sis.

The card today is the card i did for my Paperific make and take. Paperific was fun, and the new catalogues were walking out the door. Remember if you want one, just say the word, they are $12.95 including postage, and bursting with not only gorgoeus stamps and accessories (including the lovely scallop circle punch), but also wonderful ideas for cards and layouts. The design of this card is based on a card out of the old catty.
Stamps - Eat Cake
Ink - Pixie Pink
Card - Pixie Pink, Whisper White, only orange
Other - corner rounder, white ribbon, stampin' write markers
i think I need to add something in here too, like all images copyright of Karen Yates and Stampin' Up!, or something like this. Must sort a watermark for my pics (help photoshop timmy here).

And as for my huge weight effort, i have had a massive, mega blow out on the weekend. Out for dinner, with bread and big pasta, then pizza, and I had salt and vinegar chips, yum. Never mind, back to it tomorrow.

Ok gotta go watch TV, and probably stay up late to sneak in more of the very MA series whilst kiddlettes are asleep.

Thanks to everyone for stopping by, and thanks for your comments girls. Welcome to my blog for the newbies, I hope I don't bore you too much. LOL

Why not pop over to www.karensenjo.blogspot.com because i have added a new weekley product spotlight, and in the next couple of days will be uploading our Autumn specials, which feature our candle, body glove, a great new face cloth and our lotion.

have a good week :)

The good, the bad and the ugly...

Well there is no ugly really, well maybe my head, LOL.

The good is the challenge is OVER, and the official stats are ......

WAIT for it.... I have lost cm and kgs, yes it is true, I have lost 4kg (well 3.7, but lets round it up), and a mega total of 23 cm. WOW, I was shocked. As I have still indulged in our weekley pizza, and eaten normal dinners, but have had less snacks and maccas. Not 1 packet of chips has past my lips in 6 weeks. It has nearly killed me. But I knew I was doing the challenge, so I made better choices more often, and as you can see from the pic, the results are fab!! (ROFLMAO)

The bad news is, my poor boy is still sick, and last night he had a temp of 40.3, impressive in my books. Yep thats right, this paediatric nurse doesn't consider a kid has a temp til it hits 39 (ok maybe 38.5), so I have had 2 days off work, and got a chance to finally finish off his party invites today. So a bonus. Also started to watch a certain banned tv series (my lips are sealed). OK, gotta get to the gym

Cheers

A Baby card

just thought I would show you this baby card I made over the weekend. I have been a bit slow in making this, as my dear friend jen had little baby Chloe 5 weeks ago. But I was putting it off as i wanted the card to be "perfect". Well i had to give up on that idea, or I would never had it done. So I am off to post it today with a pressie. Hopefully will get to meet her soon.

Harry had a good night, he did wake, but only had a bit of a cough. and he has been quiet on the couch all day so far today, so I am not complaining about that.
Cheers

Paediatric nurse gets a fright!

Yes indeed she did. Last night I turned the light off for a peaceful sleep. Only to be woken at 0030 by a frightened sounding child crying with a raspy voice and a loud , harsh brassy cough. As I ran down the stairs I thought it was Emmy, then realised it was Harry, whilst at the same time thinking what are those noises, and then thinking that is a croupy cough, all at the same time. When I got into his room he was stumbling out of his bed, crying, as I think he wasn't sure what was happening. I took him upstairs and put him next to my bed in his fold out couch. Dosed him up on some Nurofen as he felt hot, and watched him as he tossed and turned. He only had a soft stridor and mild effort, BUT he went to bed well and woke like this. God I tell a parent at least weekley that kids can get sick very quickly. How those words flow so freely from my mouth, now they take on a whole new meaning. He has been ok today, a bit lethargic and an occasional cough, and his voice is husky, so I am anticipating he will wake again tonight, as they usually get worse before they get better. I have thought for years how it was interesting that Harry had never had croup, so there you go, now he has.

Had a nice day with Kim. A quick shop this morning to swap my new sneakers to a bigger size, and return a scanpan for a newie under the lifetime warranty. Then my sweet sissy went home in her new, lovely, sleek and sexy black Mazda 3. I then popped out to the hairdressers for a much needed touch up. Just had to get the roots painted. Bloody grey hairs torment me, I tells ya. I will leave you with some happy snaps from yesterday.
Night xxoo

OH P.S thanks sarah for the Picasa hint for cool photo collage

Dance, dance, dance

Well I hope you all had a wonderful Easter weekend with family. We had a lovely day with my brother and his wife and kids, and my sister. The kids have had waaaay to much chocolate starting at about 0630 I think it was. Uuugh! I actually excelled and cooked a yummy roast pork. "Better than mums roasts" my brother said, LOL.

Any way, tonights dance was just a review of the top 10. No actual dancing, which was a bit disappointing. But I did get to see some reviews which I have missed. And then I stumbled across a blog with this dance of Graeme and Kate's. Which is a wonderful effort. I missed this on the night only to have them say it was the best contempary, which is my fave dance. So I was very dissapointed to miss it, but excited to find it on My Space. So I wanted to mention in the lead up to our final weeks, that Rhys and Gemma and Graeme and Kate are my favourites. I think Rhys is my main fave though. I couldnt believe when I was watching the kids show Fairies the other day with the kids, and I was looking at the elf, and thought shit he looks like Rhys from Dance. I googled him , and of course it is. How funny. I just loved their Paso the other week, fab.

Ok I am a bit sleepy, so I think i will go watch the rest of this Aussie drama in bed.
Night, have a good extra long weekend for those who have tomorrow off.

Happy Easter

Hi everyone,

it is Good Friday, and so i wanted to just drop by and wish you and your families a lovely weekend together, stay safe.

My sister is coming down today, and then we are having lunch here with my brother and his family on Sunday. I think I will cook a roast , yummo.

My week started off very slow, as I was feeling ill. Now I am not one to blab on about every headache i have or every time I have a sniffle (blogs like that bore me, there is much worse things going on to worry about), but I think this warrents a mention, 1/. because i rarely get sick 2/.maybe I will get some sympathy comments (kidding, i don't want any). All day Monday I felt nauseous and had indegestion. Now this indegestion was relentless, it was constantly there. I also felt very washed out. Tuesday was marginally better, but I was still not 100%. I went to the doc at work on Wednesday and I am happy to report I am NOT pregnant, LOL... He thought I had reflux, and maybe an ulcer, gave me some tablets to take for 2 weeks (which help reduce the acid in my stomach) and said if it didn't clear up, then I might need a gastroscopy, a whopping big tube with a camera, that they stick down your mouth to have a look, eeew). Needless to say I do feel better. Thanks for asking.

In other news, unbelievably Emmy has banged her other eye (I promise i had no part in it, Harry on the other hand may have), I am not sure what happend, as i was in the kitchen. Harry was making a cave out of blankets and pillows over the couch, and she was in there. Necxt minute there was tears, screaming etc. I think she must have fallen onto a plastic toy crate, which was upside down and has ridges on the corners. It didn't really warrent a pic, as it is a little cute, less than a centimeter long. It has however bruised up (not much) over the past few days. lumsy little angel, she is.

I made another banana cake through the week, and used my new tupperware sifter, soo good. The cake was a bit heavy as i had about 2 and half bananas, instead of 2, ah well, i still ate it.

Here is the card I did for the Stitches Craft show demo, I am also using it for a swap I am in. I like it, except for the brad which was an after thought and a bad one I regret, hence the demo card and the swaps I do will have NO brad. i am also off to Paperific next Saturday, we are doing make and takes, so pop along and make a free card. I must also say I HAVE THE NEW STAMPIN' UP! CATALOGUE in my hot little hands. It is so pretty. If anyone would like one, they are $12.95. I will sell them for this and post for free. Or if you have a workshop, or have an order of $100.00 or more from the retired list/old catty then I will give you a FREE copy of the 2008/2009 version. Remeber there is not long to get orders in for the retired stamps, 30th March. My wish list is not too bad for the new catalogue, I was very restrained I though. My must haves is only about $200.00. So I am a good girl, aren't I??

Ok must go clean or do something productive. Actually my scrap desk is a nightmare again, so perhaps I will attack that.

Stay tuned for new ENJO specials too, over at The autumn specials are about to be released. And I hear they are great.

Take car and I will be back soon.

Love and kisses, Kaz

Scrap it Up

I had a lovely time at Crop for Kids. There was lots raffles. and giveaways. I won a pair of scissors for getting my challenge entry in. Which ranged in questions about the Crop, to getting certain things done, like a LO with something out of our showbag or make a card to donate to RCH auxillary to sell, etc.

I met some lovely girls, waving to Helen, Helen, Charmaine and Lou (yes I was with scrapping royalty, hehe), and caught up again with the other lovely girls,Miss Jane and Lisa and of course the hard working Katie. (Too tired and too timmy to do links, just figure it out people's, blog hop, it's fun). A shout out to the wonderful Sarah who couldn't make it. I used plenty of Fiskars Sarah, so you were with me in spirit. And I think I was very productive. I thought I did4 layouts, but in actual fact I did 5, (and I made the card for donation). This takes my LO tally for the year up to 17 (! down on same time last year).

We have a family engagement party tomorrow, so catch ya after that with a family update I reckon.
Here are my layouts for your veiwing pleasure, or NOT, LMAO....I think my fave is Tri Man, and then artist. Not so happy with Bang, but that is a scrappers life.

Nightie Night xxxx

Fuzzy headed

Morning. My head is just a muddle. For the first time in 16 months of being an ENJO consultant, I forgot to go to a 1 on 1 last night. Luckily she forgave me, loved me, and was amazed again (her stuff was very old). There is so much on my to do list I can't focus. But I am proud to say I am working through it. I even prioritised which thing I had to do what day/night. Really it is nothing too exciting, but things like Harry's party invites, I had 5 cards to make, 10 cards the same for a swap, um what else.....newsletter for a committee I am on etc. Just bitys and peices. Oh the most important thing was to sort packs for layouts for Crop for Kids tomorrow. Can't wait. 10 - 5, peace, bliss, friends, creativity, and all for a good cause. Although I have always been very pro Monash Kids, as we miss out sooo much. Most people don't even realsie the great service we have on Clayton road. In fact the second largest paediatric Service in Victoria. And alot of RCH fundraising goes to research, not to the wards to impact directly, but still ultimately I am sure it benefits.

I had fun on Wednesday at Stitches, everyone loved my demo, so that was good. I will share it soon. For now though I will leave you with, I think what must be the quickest and simplest card EVER. LOL. It is for an engagement party on Sunday. (Mark's cousin)
Materials List:
Stamps - French Script, Loving Hearts, wonderful words(retiring), Tagger's dozen
Cardstock - perfect plum, whisper white
Ink - whisper white and basic black
Other - black gingham ribbon,

Righty, I have ENJOed my floors and now have to get sorted for fizzed.

have a great weekend.

Cards ahoy

Yes I have another one. well 5 parties in a row means I have 5 cards. And in order to have a nice collection in my display book , I have made a different one each time.
This is for the little boy this this weekend. I know I have said it before but I do love this set "In the Wild". Too easy for boy cards. and it isn't retiring, so plenty of time for you to grab it and get creating.
Materials list ;
Stamps: Looks Like Spring, In The Wild
Cardstock: Real red, Old olive
Ink: Basic black, whisper white
Other: Black Gingham ribbon, antique brass brad, word window punch

I have also made another one tonight, which is for my demo's at the Stitches and Craft show on Wednesday. I will also use it for a swap I have agreed to if my team deem it worthy, so I will share it with you after the show, or come visit me, and see it being made.
Ok off to bed, its only nearly 2300 hours, so I am early tonight.
Cheers and thanks for stopping by.

P.S I haven't forgotten my rack, 2000 visitors snuck up and came and went. I only have the same 4 people commenting, thanks you loyal followers I appreciate it. So maybe I will give you all a RAK.

Very weary

I have to stop staying up til midnight, I am getting very sleepy now. Too many jobs on my to do list, and one of those jobs was to make another 4 yo old birthday card, but a girly one this time, a nice change. All made with Stampin' Up! products of course, because I am lovin' it. We are all eagerly awaiting the new catalogue which is due out 1st April, I have pre ordered a box in anticipation. If anyone would like one, they are $12.50 including postage, just let me know. Or you get one free if you want a workshop (friends/family over to make a card and / or layout) or catalogue party (no party just get orders from your self, friends and family), both have bonus free stamps with certain sales.

I took Harry to his 4th party in a row today, and he has one more next week. Hopefully that's it until his party in April (which is now on the Sunday for family reading this, due to the footy, I know, I hear ya!).

Emmy is taking more and more steps, and actually stood up today out of the blue and went off walking, aaagh. Finally, hehe. Ok I must go and do washing or something equally as mundane.

Cheers

Gday

He there,

busy, busy,
work, kids activities, ENJO, life in general, you know how it is. Not much to report.
Liking work, doing stats and paperwork at the moment, which has to be done to ensure we are doing what we are meant to and to keep the funding. I am also about to take on a patient who needs care co ordination, which I don't mind for the odd one. I am enjoying being in the same office as the childrens developmental services.

Have been busy with ENJO, people are keen to learn and change old , ineffective habits, I love showing people an alternative that is so great. I am also going to be at Stitches and papercraft show on Wednesday next week on the Stampin' Up! stand, so swing by if you are in the area.
Harry went to the dentist this week, he was soooo good, and I was so proud of him, he sat so still. The dentist filled a crevice, not a hole but a natural area we have on the side of our teeth, but she felt it was too deep. He sat still and didn't make a noise. So yes he got a treat.
Emmy is very proud of herself, she is taking steps by her welf (can't help say it like this, thanks Harry, hehe), about 6 - 10 steps. She walks along, plonks on her bum and claps her hands, and says "yea", soo cute. So wow, only 18 months and maybe walking properly soon.

Ok I neeed to sleep. A couple of pics of my gorgeous kids. Harry is obsessed with army men, and tells me he is going to be an army man. He is also going to be a builder. The other pic is just emmy looking her usual cute self.

catch ya soon.

Happy hellos

well I have just watched dance, and i was excited to have Mary Murphy from the US join us. I love how raw and real she is. I also decied that although I am loving the show, it just isnt the same as the yankee version. I said to annie that is just not the same. It is just not as fast and smooth, and god bless annie, she said it wasn't as polished, and i just thought you have hit the nail on the head my friend.

Any way, a good weekend, I had an ENJO business development seminar, which is good for personal as well as bsiness growth and development, and then a Stampin' Up! catch up with my team, we made 2 cards and did some packs for the showbags for the stitches and craft show next week. I will be there either the 12th or the 13, depending on work. Will let you know, i hope you canpop in.
Harry had another 4 year old party today, such the social butterfly is he.
Emmy and H both have green candlestick noses, noice. LOL.
Ok I am off to bed.
Here is a lovely stamp I used to make a card to say Hi to a friend, and let her know to keep her chin up. This is a sweet set,Friendship Blossoms and was one of the free sale abration stamps, maybe it will make it into the new catalogue, not long now and I will have it in my hot little hands.

OK night loves.
