had to share, this is funny

Found this on someone elses blog. I couldn't find if you could copy a code to actually share the real thing, it was too funny not to share. So I had to do individual copy and saves of the pics. The pics don't line up too well in some of the pics but you get the general idea. It shows different looks through the ages. I love it, and think I look like my nana in one (1952) and my mum in another (1968), but my fave is 1974 (which is a bit like my aunite), I always wanted sleek, smooth, long (blonde) hair.

Hope you have a laugh on me, and the site is http://yearbookyourself.com/

Another layout.

Thanks for stopping by, and Annie in Melb, thank you for your kind words, I appreciate it heaps, and my sissy and Jess, taa.

Well it is a quiet Friday night and I am working on a layout, and thought before i head off to bed I would share one of my fave layouts ever. AND can you believe it is not even for me. Jeez I did a photo swap, and I love the layout soo much I am going to have to CASE my own work, LMAO.

The kids and I had a fun day at our local park with my friend Penny. We had a lovely time, and I look forward to spending much more time with her. We really clicked at mothers group and due to our work commintments, can never get a chance to catch up. She is having no 3 soo (crazy i reckon) and so will be home more for me to hang out with.

Right enjoy your weekend, and GO CATS.

(to kim, I know you will be having a hard weekend, I hope all is ok, and you have a great bunch of buddies who can be there for your friend and each other, mwah).

A fun weekend..

Whoa, so busy.

had a great weekend in Geelong. Just always so nice to spend time with family, and what better way than to sit back in the back of a pub with a glass of wine (maybe it was a bottle, LOL) and some YUMMO home made hommus and beetroot dip (not mixed together) and all of your family. The kids had a blast just running a muck, although emmy was a bit quiet, with an ear infection. yea I may have forgotten to mention her temp of 41.2 degrees on Wednesday night, now that is what i call a temp!! don't come to this paediatric nurse with anything under 38, LMAO. We then had a reasonably nice dinner at La porchetta, and then kim and i attempted to go to the local pub/club lamby's. Which is the same as when we used to go about 10 years or so ago. by this stage i was a bit over it, and it was just fun to look at all the try hards.

We had THE most delish breakfast on Sunday morning and then a very fun and productive shop. I then said goodbye to my darling sister, and went for a too short visit to my great friend and beautiful sole Jen. She was very sleepy after no sleep post night duty, but managed a delicious oat slice. I must get that recipe Jen! Then i jetted back to DH mum and dad's for afternoon tea for their 40th wedding anniversary. i really admire them, they got married at about 18, and are still going strong. happy to just be together, just wonderful. We didn't get home until 7 pm, totally exhausted, and dumped everything out of the car onto the kitchen floor.

Today i had a very productive day, washing, floors cleaned, and 2 cards made. Tomorrow I need to finish off a layout, that i am just loving, and it is not for me, bugger. I am in a photo swap, and I need some more white thickers, so need to pop down to the local shop tomorrow. just missing a few letters, hate that!!

Here are a couple of cards i have made in the last few days, the girly one i just finished. The boy ones are for a lady who won the business of the fortnight comp at the gym. I was the business and the prize was 2 cards a month for 12 months. pretty good i thought, and pretty easy. No, not when I get requests straight off the bat for 2 boy 18 yo birthday cards, 1 likes the Cats, and one likes to travel. Anyway i think i did a bloody awesome job. the other is for Emmy for her 1st birthday (yes 1st) I always leave my kids, trying to make a perfect, special card, and then i think just bloody make it, it just happens to take my a year to get to that stage, and they don't know, it is the sentiment that is the same, whether we give it on the day or a year later. It will just go in the pile. Actually it will go on her bookshelf, like harry's is. I have use the Nursery Neccesities Bundle, which has the free wheel offer. The alphabet wheel is just too cute, the whole set is really. the colours are regal Rose and Pale Plum, with a silver hodgepodge circle thingy! My friends daughter was also 1 last weekend, so i made a copy for her too.

Ok going to bed to read for a couple fo minutes. Hubby watching the Brownlow (Yawn!!)

catch ya

My colour chart

Started the inside of this a little while ago, and I just kept forgetting it. It is a colour chart which displays all of the Stampin' Up! colour groups, with examples of the ink, marker and cardstock. The patterned paper is the gorgeous fresh 'Summer picnic" out of the Spring Mini.
OK of to get organised for an ENJO demo tonight and a trip to geelong tomorrow for lots of fun and frivolity.
ENJOY your weekend.
Cheers Kaz

This ones for you sissy..

This is a special post for my sister Kim. I just wanted to show her my lovely Jade plant in his new pot. Kim got me this back in April or May, and it has been laying about in the garden in its tiny little seedling container ever since. She has visited me at least twice and seen it in its unpotted state, but I was just getting around to getting a pot I liked, that was the right size and design. Found it today.
I hope you are soo very proud. I love my Jade plant and will endeavour to keep him alive and well. THANK YOU

Where are the weeks going?

Well we are half way through September already. The year has speed by. And my extra day a fortnight of work, leaves ittle time for household chores, or much really. This week more so because I have had to do 2 weeks of 3 days, and then with kiddie activities, and Emmy had her 2 year old check too (no probs there by the way). Next term well be better organised as I am doing kid activities only on a Friday, so Mondays will be a free day, as will every second Tuesday. And I get to finish at 3.30 on my Tuesday, so perhaps that should be a race home and do a layout day, hmmm good thinking.
Anyway one of our Stampin' team is getting married this weekend, so I wanted to make her a card. I am pretty sure, 100 % positive she WILL not be checking my blog between now and tomorrow when she flies out to her sunny wedding destination. All the best Flick, you will have a suberb day. This card is made with some old Basic Grey,(I should take a pic, because that scan is appaling, sorry) strangely I am drawn to black and white for wedding cards.

Enjoy the rest of the week, in this cold old weather, what happemed to the sunny 23, hoo hum.

Sunday Sunshine

Morning all,
thank you for visiting. It is so nice to be able to share fun. love, laughter and creativity with you all. I appreciate friends, family and newbies to my blog and welcome your comments, it is always nice to know who is looking. You can always comment anon if you prefer. Cheers. The sun is shining here again in Melbourne and the kids and I are just fluffing around. Mark had a party in Geelong last night, so he will have a sore head today, no doubt.

I thought i would share some sun shiny cards to keep your Sunday bright. These are the cards i demoed yesterday with my usual crew of girls, the Skanky Scrappers, LOL (is that right girls). They are a fun bunch, and it is always nice to see them. I always learn something new too, and that is the joy of craft. I demoed the first card as a very quick and easy card, that still has a great effect. So if you are ever running out the door, this would take you a couple of minutes. It uses the rock n roll technique, and I have use only 2 colours pretty in pink and real red, they really pop together I think. Then there is the card the girls made, another version of the poppin pastels I did the other week, using the ALWAYS set. If you have been coveting this set remember it is only available til the end of November.

Ok well, ENJOY OUR SUNDAY and we will chat soon. Heart kaz.

Excited about washing!!

How sad is that! The sun is shining and there is a warm breeze. Perfect for drying washing. I haven't hung washing outside for soo long, just because there was always rain around the corner and also I couldn't be bothered. So today i bounded outside with a fresh energy. Because i tell you I need it. My busy life finally caught up with me this week. After a demo Saturday, night duty Saturday night, staying up after another workshop on Monday night til 1 am to do a workbook for my first aid course that was on Tuesday, the work again Wednesday and Thursday and sorting life in betewwn, at work on Wed and yesterday I really felt like my eyes were falling out of my head. Now I usually run on borrowed energy from somewhere, but this week it was running very low.
Everyone is good here, finally, after Harry was sick again last week as i mentioned somewhere. i couldn't believe he slept from Sunday night til Tuesday morning, getting up only maybe 4 times on Monday to go to the loo or swap beds/couches. So he is now back to his cheeky, cute ratbag self. Emmy is as sweet and devious as ever! Mark is very happy about his kitty cats, and obviously excited as final fever grips us. He is off to a double 40th this weekend, I have a demo and workshop again (good lord) and so will be a home body. Which I don't mind actually, chilling at home with the kids. I am doing a cyber crop at Mad About Scrappin tonight, you should join me. Just follow the link from my side bar and join the forum.

In other exciting news, I am presenting a poster (just displaying it really) at an asthma conference in Sydney in October. it is just to highlight the service we provide, but only 16 abstracts were chosen out of 40, so that is kinda cool. Now my only drama is getting my idea on paper, having issues with the graphic designer ATM, but that is a whole other story.
I have also been offered another exciting opportunity, it is on the horizon, but i just need to decide if I can commit, I think I will, so stay tuned. Right this is a bit of a novel, and there is more washig to hang out, so I will leave you with the 2 mates of the card that was accepted for publication...(the one the was accepted was actually my fave of the 3, funnily enough). Have a great weekend, 22 here tomorrow, AWESOME..

In the Name of the Father

To all the wonderful men out there, HAPPY FATHER's DAY.
To my children's father Mark, the kids adore you, which you know. You are a great father, and I appreciate the amount of time you are able to spend with them and the love you give to the both Harry and Emmy. Have a special day with us darling for breakfast and lunch, and then what more could you ask for, but to see your team win in the semi finals. GO CATS!!

sunny days

Oh how beautiful is this day?, or those of you in Melbourne. Just thought I would pop in and show you Emmy's birthday party invites.

Ok I am off to sell heaps of ENJO, and then do a night duty tonight. They only just rang, but the money will be very handy. Means Mark will have a real fathers day tomorrow, as I will be in bed. At least til he goes to the footy. I have my fathers day card all ready to post here, so might to it overnight while you are all tucked up in your cosy beds.

Enjoy the weekend.

Love Kaz
