Strange weather

Melbourne has been living up to it's reputation with the weather. Today was a lovely sunny day, the other day it was heavy rain, and apparently next week will bring some hot weather again, and well last night I was freezing, I had to put the heater on.

I had a divine day yesterday, an annual leave day. Woo hoo a day off and I went into the city and Annie and I met up for a catch up. We were both happy to wonder aimlessly and over indulge for lunch. We happily did both, lol. Thanks Annie I had a lovely time. We also decided that we might save our money and go on our own scrap retreat, just book accom in the city and scrap up a storm, so possibly in June we will embark on Kazannie scrap retreat, hehe.

I have a business development seminar tomorrow, which is always very motivating for general life more than anything. Then some scrapping or card meeting more like it tomorrow night with my Stampin" Up! gang. Harry then has another birthday party on Sunday, the little party animal.

I have also been making it to the gym the 3 times a week I committed to, and even though not following the plan, I have been eating a lot less, and miracously i lost about 2.3 kg or something(we weren't meant to be weighed), and 13 cms, which is a total loss form all areas added together. Out of 30 woman I am coming about 5th. I still feel enourmous, but nonethelss, I must be doing ok.

just finished the Lance Armstrong book, which was good, he really achieved some wonderful things, and was very positive through his cancer experience. I have now started My Steve by Terri Irwin, so that should be interesting. So it is getting late and I might go and have a read.

Thanks for comments guys, Jess your catelogue is in the mail. I was going to also do a RAK for my 2000 visitor, but it came and went. Soooo leave a comment over the next week, and I will randomenly draw a name between now and next Friday to win a RAK anyway, in honiur of this milestone.

Have a FAB weekend.

Another SU card

Hi peoples,

thought I would cheer up your day with a little card. This was for a boy's 4th birthday last weekemd, one of Harry's mates from Kinder. Harry is quite the socialite ATM. 3 parties in a row, all 4 , all from kinder. I am in the middle of trying to work out what to do for Harry's. Although he has told me constantly for the last 2 days that I am "not invited to my party". I told him without me, he won't have a party. LOL. He has such attitude that boy!

This Stampin' Up! card was made using brilliant blue, tempting turquoise and only orange card, with whisper white and briliant blue ink. The ribbon is white. The stamps are from the wild about you and loads of love (one of my faves!). I also added a brass brad to top it off. The J is done with the well worn words alphabet.
Don't forget if you want a catalogue or any of the retiring stamps let me know. Maybe you want to be my guinea pig and be my first workshop, hehe. Just a casual afternoon or evening with friends making a FREE card and/or layout for fun. Just yell if you're brave.

I did an asthma friendly schools education session this afternoon, I must say I really enjoy doing them. Emmy finally has a third tooth, woo hoo, I thought maybe they were never coming.
Right I have a lot of stuff to sort, so will catch ya soon. (I am watching Gordon Ramsay, love the guy, so funny, and straight to the point). I have an ENJO demo in the morning, and I need to update the blog as the 2 for 1 demo rewards has been extended right through to end of March. So if you want to learn or refresh on how to clean smarter, easier and healthier and YES economically, then yell. Again you only need 2 friends and a dirty bathroom to earn free enjo.

Enjoy the rest of your week.
Cheers

Poor sweetsie

My little sweetise had a bingle this morning. She comes into my bed for a feed at 0530 ish, and we go back to sleep. Well I woke to this bang and screaming. She had fallen off the bed, the pillow pushed onto the floor, and Emmy was stuck between the bed and bedside table. God she screamed blue murder. I thought she had bumped her head, and it was still dark in the room so i couldn't see any damage. Anyway I consoled her and she was still sobbing heavily, but better, when mark came into the room and turned on the light, well there before my eyes was a purple egg under her eye. Any wonder she was sobbing.
So here are some picks of her injury, first 2 in the morning and second 2 after creche. I am used to seeing cuts and bruises on little ratbag boys, but not precious little princeses. She will be right though, it just looks awful. By the time she came home from creche it had spread to all the way under her eye.

NEWSFLASH - for all of you scrappers and card makers, the french flair (the beautiful flairs with the birds, featured on the card in the previous post) is being retired. So will be unavailable. Please let me know if you would like it, and i will have it delivered to your door. It is only $33.95. I haven't checked the list of stamps being retired, just heard thru email this one was going. So I am off to check which other ones. OK I AM EDITING THIS TO CONFIRM IT IS NOT GOING, AND IS IN FACT THE FRENCH SCRIPT THAT IS RETIRING. sorry i got my frenchies mixed up.

Oh and some excitement for me- I solved the stench coming from the toilet. I knew it was wee wees on the floor and at the back of the toilet(boys!), BUT I cleaned it spotless the other day, and I could still smell mens urinal flavour (eew). So I got down on my hands and knees to investigate. Well I found a pool of wetness (yess piss people's) in the area where the pipe from the toilet goes into the floor. It must have been blocked, because when I flushed it out, (after gloving up and soaking up the moisture with a towel, and then leaving calcium dissolver (ENJO) soaking in the crevice all day), and poked it with a small brush, it all drained away. So my toilet is smell free, Hallelujah, woo bloody hoo. LOL

Ok, big day at work tomorrow. Myself and the other asthma educators have a planning day, and then I am holding my community information evening. I moved offices today too. I went from a palatial office of my own, to sharing with 3 other girls, in the child development services (physio and occupational therapists). They are lovely girls, and the company will be nice.

OK better sort play lunch, outfits etc.

Much love and friendship

Joy O Joy

Firstly Joy at the wonderful and unexpected night I had Saturday night. Sarah (see side bar) asked me to a cropin Mornington, with Jane, Lisa and Katie. It was so lovely. We had a good laugh and some nice chatter. The girls were friendly and welcoming, which you don't always get when you go to a crop. Thanks also to Sarah for your genorosity. I was also very productive and got 4 and 1/2 layouts completed, which you can see 4 of them here, (the half needs finishing one day when i have time).
Second Joy is my Stampin' Up! order came today. So I am wading around in stamps and ink and ribbon, brads and patterned paper. Oh so delish. Here is a card i made when I opened the box. The stamp is french flair and oh so beautiful. It is in the summer mini which finishes end of March. I used chocolate ink and whisper white ink to double stamp the image (saw that else where and liked it), and chocolate ribbon, and our hodgepodge metal. I think the card stock is so saffron. It is for a friend whos mum died last week. I think it is a lovely card for this purpose. I also tried out the corner rounder punch with the guard off, to make scallops. See the picture attatched. It looks like the corner rounder may be retired, so if you want one, just yell, they are cheap as chips at only $13.50
OK cooking dinner, so later gator.

I was TAGGED!!

I have been tagged by Sarah
A: The rules of the game are posted at the beginning.
B: Each player answers the questions about themselves.
C: At the end of the post, the player then tags 3 people and posts their names, then goes to their blogs and leaves them a comment, letting them know that they have been tagged and asking them to read your blog

10 years ago: I was a fresh faced 28 year old (heheh) living in Armadale living it up. Booze , men etc, etc. LOL

1/ 5 Things on my to-do-list today:
hair done - check

Clean both bathrooms - done

Finish off Layouts from lastnight and load onto blog - not looking good

watch So you think you can dance - almsot wetting myself with anticipation

Email some one whom I found out is very sick - half done

What I would do if I was suddenly a billionaire:
well that is alot of money, and I would have to say get a bigger house with a very large scrapping room, and buy lots of product. I would also pay for a few treats for family (maybe a few friends if they were extra nice to me, buy a new car or 2, go on a wonderful holiday with the kids to maybe Disneyland, and another one to refind my husband to the maldives. Invest some, catch up with Madonna for coffee in my Jet!!!

Three of my bad habits:
um, picking my nose (sorry for that bit of info),

Three places I have lived:
Country Victoria in Cohuna

Ipswich, QLD

Murumbeena, VIC

5 jobs that I have had:
Deli Chick, Nurse, asthma educator, ENJO consultant, model in a bikini for Le Specs (LOL i know)

5 things people dont know about me:

1. I would love to be able to sing and dance well, and occasionally contemplate signing lessons

2. 2 of my front teeth are crowns (Caulfield races incident)

3. I used to be athletic, Under 21 athletic champ (1985)

4. I think Celine Dion and Mariah Carey have amazing voices (LOL, I am struggling here)

5. I failed my L's twice, maybe it was 3 times. LMAO

6. because i just thought of this...I hate it when people say they have a layout done, but can't share. Hello are you so special, if you can't share don't mention it, or say you have a new LO, but will share it soon. It is like saying I have an awesome secret but I can't tell you. So why mention it. Jeez. Sorry that was a little vent.

I tag: Annie of course, Leia and Gail.

OK gotta finish and scan my layouts that I did at a crop last night that I WILL share, LOMAO.

My beautiful.

just wanted to share this gorgeous pic of my lovely boy.
I took the pic for Elsie's 52 week challenge, which was to take an artistic pic. So it is my novice effort. I think it is a great shot.

Cheers

Happy Happy Anniversary Gorgeous Annie

I cannot believe it has been 11 years since my dear friend Annie and her lovely hubby Steve were wedded in marital bliss. So i wanted to just say congratulations guys, in this day and age that is quite the feat. I sent Annie a card to send our best wishes for many more. Again, another quickie (why is it I make cards at 11 o'clock at night) because i thought the little car would look so cute embossed, maybe in silver, or just left white. Anyway as quick and simple as it was, I still think it is cute. It is just pixie pink card again, with whisper white ink, and I used the itty bitty background and greetings galore stamp sets, with SU ribbon tied on for a great effect. I have come across 2 ribbon tying techniques since coming across SU, and they are both great, I use them constantly now. The SU stuff is so great because the sets all co ordinate and the colours all match. Reasonable prices too. Each stamp in its set will usually average only $5 a stamp. So for a quality product that is awesome value.

If anyone is interested in having a look at the Stampin' Up! products I have about 7 catalogues I am offering for free. This catalogue will be superceeded in April, so get you free one now, and if you like anything order up, and recieve free stamps at the same time.

Cheers for now. We are off to Fizzed and then I may have to go to the jewlerrs to buy my own valentines treat, hehehe.

Have a wonderful day Annie.

and everyone of course.

Be Mine XXXOOO

Just wanted to pop in and wish you all a Happy Valentines Day.
Whipped this up (I am so into the quick whip up ATM) for hubby last night. Thought it would be a sweet surprise on the kitched bench this morning. Of course my real motive was another card to add to my stash. The beauty of SU is you can do a card in under 10 minutes if you need to. I have used pixie pink card and basic black and real red ink. The stamps are from the loving hearts stamp set, I also added some black ribbon. the heart is mounted on 3D tape for effect.

I also ordered my first SU order last night. Let's just say I got a lot of free stuff, heheh. Can't wait.
OK gotta get ready for work, hope your day is filled with love and laughter.

Mwah xxxxxxx

My Tri Man

Well we had a wonderful weekend in Geelong. I did a demo on Friday night in Fairhave, which is basically Aireys Inlet. Not a bad demo..Teh Saturday I had coffee with my good friend Jen and her daughter and mum. It was a lovley relaxed catch up, she is due to have her second any day, all the best to ya Jen! I then rushed home , and sprayed on some BO killer, and headed down to the local Grovedale pub for lunch with Chooka and Corrina, and their twim boys Zach and Jonah. We had such a wonderful time, just chilling and chatting. The 3 boys (harry too) loved playing in the playroom , which we had a table right next to, so it was perfect. Emmy was the perfect little angel that she is, a sleep in the pram, sitting up at the table eating broccoli and chips, hehe. Thanks for a lovely time Chook and Corrina, we had such a nice time, and promise to come and have a sleep over asap, the boys will just love it.
Then on Saturday night I cooked spag bol (carb loading for Mark) for Marks sister and hubby (and 3 kids, who don't eat , so that was easy) and his brother and girlfriend. It was nice actually, as we were staying at mark's mum and Dad's (who are in Thailand), so it was very relaxed, and we didn't have to worry about packing the kids up and leaving.
Then today mark was up at a sparrow to head off to the Geelong ironman 70.3. He has been doing triathalons for a couple of years and it seems the more he does, the more he wants to do. he is so fit, it is almost sickening, although i must admit I look at him sometimes, and thing gaw, look at thos arms or abs, lmao. which is funny to think that about my hubby after all these years. gettin' a bit of mojo back, and I'm not talking scrapping, hehe.
So today he competed in the Geelong ironman 70.3, which basically means a half marathon. So it consisted of a swim 1.9 km, bike 90.1 km and run 21.1 km. Argh I am exhuasted just typing that. He estimated it would take 6 hours and his time was aorund 5 and half or so hours. He looked really comfortable running, and I am very proud of him. I think it is great that he has something that he gets so much enjoyment out of, and something that challenges him, also such a great strees realise from work. will let you know official results when i get them.

We headed home for my last hurrah, big fatty boombah pizza. Tommorow starts my Contours 6 week challenge. I am ready and keen and motivated. Go Kaz.. In dilema news, there was way to much on the TV tonight to chose from, of course there was dance, which I missed most of because we hadn't been home long and so was unpacking and sorting kids etc, then there was the series return of greys anatomy and brothers and sisters. I just love Rachel Griffiths, loved her in 6 feet under too.
Tomorrow night has a couple of premiers too, such as dirt sexy money.

Anyway laptop has only 15 minutes of battery life left, so I will catch you soon. here is my DH looking fit and fabulous with about 1 hour left to race.

Cheers and much love :)

Friday, 8 February 2008

All good here..

Hi, thought i would pop in and give you all the pleasure of my company, hehe.

I am loving Dance, but look forward to the top 20. I am walking around the house and putting my hand in the air and grabbing the air (a la the judge Jason Coleman) who stops the music, sad I know. Also everytime I hear Rhianna's song, Don't stop the music, which is part of the call back choreography music,I just start bopping around and wanna do a high kick, LMAO.

I am starting a 6 week challenge with my gym (Contours, the 29 minute workout for woman on the go). It is committing to going 3 times a week, trying to walk or do something on the other days, and following a menu plan, which involves snacks of high protein bar and shake (not replacing meals though). So here I go, from Monday. I seriously need to sew up my mouth. I will attempt to go on the wagon for the 6 weeks too, jeeez, is all I will say!!

We are off to Geelong today, I have a demo there tonight, and DH, Mark is doing an ironman onSunday, the fit bastard, who could be bothered. But I do admire his dedication and sportsmanship. He got "bumped" by a car the other day, the car didn't even see him, thru a round about i think., it is a worry I tells ya.
Kids are wonderful. Very cute, and very annoying too at times. But I love them to death. Emmy is obsessed with Elmo and Dorothy the Dinosour, I may have mentioned it already, so different to H, he was never into TV like that. Harry is settled back into kinder, and I am looking into what I am doing next year, RE kinder, and then which school. Maybe boarding school in France, hehe,, kidding.

Right best finish packing.

This LO is not the best, but I thought you would get a laugh out of my hair, hehehehe. The very cute chipboard paperclip is available from Scrappit -

Cheers Kaz

Let the dance begin...

Well tonight's the night. So you think you can dance begins. Along with a few other shows, I will have to have the recorder set. I am sure i will not get through the show uninteruppted, .

I am happy to say I have made my first SU card, see attatched pic (I have used my stamps before on cards, but this is all SU.
I have used Green galore and petite pink card and ink, with the looks like spring stamp set. The Love You sentiment is from the Loving Hearts stamp set. I love the looks like spring set because not only does it have flowers and a friends sentiment, but it also has the background stamps, 1 of which did the criss cross on the card. I desperately need the corner rounder so I can do awesome scallops, as mine are hand cut, and as you can see, completely crap! If you do stamp, and have not seen the stampin scrub, I can tell you it is a must have. It cleans your stamps back to new. No getting out baby wipes, or saoking in a sink of soay water. Just spary the mist on the mat and give the stamp and rub, and then on the other side to dry, and done! Please drop me a line if you are interested in seeing any of the Stampin' UP! products. I would be happy to forward the delish catalogue or pop over and we could have a play.

In some distressing news, I am worried Harry is the next serial killer after seeing him bash the crap out of a poor slug. This is not the first time. Can someone reassure me this is "normal" 4 year old boy behaviour?? I told him why was he so mean, that it was an animal, and he said no it wasn't. I said yes it is, it is a living creature. He then went on to say I am very sorry for hurting it, I didn't know it was a living creature.
I would also be interested to know who else is totally OVER having men in the house when it comes to the toilet. I am proud to say Hary has been fully toilet trained since just before his 3rd birthday (a year now), but like a typical male he seems to have trouble pissing in the toilet. I feel it is because it starts before he has had a chance to "unwind" it , IYKWIM. It is all a bit squashed in those jox, and well you get the picture. But the bathroom almost permanently smells like a mens urinal, eeeew. Any suggestions. I know I have already suggested he wee outside.
On a funnier note, my DH reads this from the paper this morning ..."Drink shock for women, big wine glasses are being blamed for millions of women drinking much more alcohol than they realsie" Herald SUN, pg 17) I laughed and said , "Oh I realise". LOL
See attatched pic, of my new big glass, which fits 500 ml of wine in it. I comfortably fill it to about 200 mls. The glass towers over my oold ones, the pic doesn't truly show how much.

OK off to make my second card and hopefully get a LO done.

Cheers my loves.
