Peaceful Sunday

Ah the serenity. I am sitting enjoying my 2 minute noodles (full of nutrition, I know) in total quiet. Harry is sick again so is asleep on the couch (been asleep all day, but for toilet trips). Emmy fell asleep on the couch watching wiggles, just woke up, and has moved to her cot, and Mark has completed the Nike Human 10km run and now enjoying the Hilltop hoods which were on after the run. he text me his time of 43 minutes, so I am assuming he is happy with that.I have made 2 cards and now plan to do a layout. I got 1 done yesterday before I headed out for yummy indian with some of the ENJO girls.

I am looking forward to some TV tonight, Idol, the aussie Telemovie Scorched, and maybe a bit of Dancing with the Stars. I am also looking forward to the start of the new series Rush this week. Emmy is talking, so maybe not going back to sleep, bummer. Better go before she decides she is bored in her cot. I will leave you with the 2 September kits from Mad about Scrappin (see side bar).

A card

This is just a quickie, as we had a challenge of colours - choc chip, very vanilla, perfect plum and pale plum. So I did a quickie, and used the Always set again.

Had a fun day for the party, except for some vomiting going around (yea Harry's minor virus ended with some short lived vomiting, which my nephew caught the morning of the party, but alas I haven't heard of the other cousins getting sick) will load some pics when i get organised, also had a lovely day with my mum and sissy today. We went over to Chadstone to check out the Mac make up, as Kim and I both wanted a new foundation. We had Mac for my wedding, nearly 7 years ago, and because i rarely do a full face of make up, mine has actually stretched out that far. Anyway they don't make it anymore, and it was soo busy, we headed over to David Jones, and tried out Napoleon. I really like it, so got that. We then had a yummy lunch downstairs in the DJ's food hall. I had a Laksa and Mum and Kim had a Pad Thai. We had a lovely time just wondering around, lovely family time.
Night..

party Party party

How delicious do these sausage rolls look? Yummo. Yep, 10 past 11 at night and I am cooking sausage rolls. It is Emmy's second birthday party tomorrow (my lord, 2, actually she acts 22 I swear!) and I am just doing a few last minute things. Finished off these party boxes at the hairdressers today. Loving the boy one, with old olive and pumpkin pie, and my new classic star stampin' wheel. I also got hold of a couple of stamps from the US catty today, thanks Flick. Can't wait to play.

A big thanks to Chris for doing my title/header. I love it, and it fits with my new, sexy blog background from the site 'The cutest blog on the block', perfect, am lovin it!
OK probably should head to bed.
Have a great weekend.

Challenge packs from Mad

here is a layout I did yesterday whilst I was home with sick Harry. It is from the challenge kit from Mad about Scrappin. Leanne sure nows how to set a good challenge. This one was to use the supplied white bazzill and black flowers, use only black and white pictures and use 1 splash of colour only. I had to drag out some wedding pics, as I couldn't find anyother b and w pics. Soo loved my beautiful wedding flowers, and was thinking even to this day (nearly 7 years later) that I love every thing about my wedding still. Flowers, venue, dress, cars, hair, bridemaids etc, everything, it was perfect and I think still trendy and modern today.

Have to say Hi to my buddy jess too, she came over for dinner on Saturday night, and we enjoyed a yummy fritatta, some nice wine and good chatter.
Ok I am off to bed, so very sleepy. Gotta do shit for Emmy's party tomorrow. Bit of cleaning (although not too much as those damn kids just trash it) and make some sausage rolls.

NIGHT xxxooo

Nothing serious, just a cold, headache etc. he is miserable, and slept on and off. which was good as i got a layout done. Will share soon.

Little boys

Firstly, thank you everyone for you words of Congratulations, it is very much appreciated. I am very excited, the only thing is, it might be 6 months before we get to actually see it in print, BUT it will be well worth the wait. So for now, here is a cute card i made 2 of today, before 9am even. My friend's boy is having his second tomorrow, and my nephew is 3 on Monday, so I did a double whammy.
Love this set, BY LAND, it is so cool for boy cards. I got creative and put some rocks in the back of the truck, hehe. I may have shared the same type of card before, as i made it for harry's 4th. Oh well, it is in different colours, and looks even better with jumbo eyelets in his wheels. I just tore the paper for dirt, and grass, effective i think, then used my Stampin' write markers to colour in the truck and stop sign, (colours used are from Bold brights).
Ok, off to an ENJO demo over in Hillside, so I think might have to have takeaway for dinner, as Mark working kate too.
yes bad , (lazy) mummy!!

Blink and you'll miss it!!

yes thats right, my god I can hardly contain my excitement,. I submitted a set of 3 cards for publication and they want to publish 1, yea. Finally. Although one must accept, when you don't submit anything, then it can't get published, so the moral is get submitting.

Bye for now

A little birdie told me..

That it is a crime to be able to make such a quick, but ever so cute card. Hehe

Honestly, this took me less than 2 minutes I reckon. Too easy. That birdie is a winner every time. Again it is the Always set from the mini. and same colours again, Purely pomegranate (Chris i have inherited your compulsion, LOL) and Always artichoke. And the ribbon is so yummy too. Remeber you can order form the mini now, and from the main catalogue at any time, and have the gorgeous SU products shipped straight to your door.

Thanks for stopping by, and Leanne and Annie for your comments on my recent card and LO, and others previously, appreciate it muchly.

2 4 6 8 dig in don't wait...

here is a very cute version of a 2 4 6 8 box i made at a workshop today. Such a fun bunch of girls, I always enjoy doing their workshops, it is easy to relax, and they seem genuinely happy with the cards we make (always a worry that guests won't like your work). And look Kathy I added brads to the side from the new silver hodgepodge, cute hey! This is made using this years in colour card and ink of Purely pomegranate and also always artichoke. The little bird is from the Always set from the Spring mini.

If you want instructions for this cute, handy little gift box then sign up for my newsletter.

Oh and head over to Clean the World (link in side bar) for some groovy new products including a floor fibre for FUSSY floors.

Night, Karen

Dancing up a storm

Posted by Picasa

Oh I just love the US version of Dance. Not to knock us Aussies, but The US version is just so polished and hot. The dancers are soo good. I love Mia Michaels and I adore Mary Murphy, even her screams. The first night I had goose bumps with one of the dances, and tonight again teary and hair raising. Pity I am a spoil sport and I already know who wins. But it doesn't ruin it, because I don't know anything about the lead up, so I will still be glued.
Ok just wanted to pop in and say HI, a full weekend with an SU workshop tomorrow, and an ENJO demo on Sunday.here are some cute pics of the kids I took at work today, for our annual quality report (they needed some pics of kids, so I offerd my supermodels, hehe).
Enjoy your weekend
Love Kaz

Fabbo weekend with my chick

This is Emmy and Lara and taffy the dog. My bestie Annie came to Melbourne on Saturday for the night, with Steve (DH) and her 3 kids. I had the pleasure of taking Annie down to Mornington to Paper2 on the Saturday, the scrapbooking mega store. I was soo good, and only spent $7.50, hehe. Annie had a wonderful time. We got home, and pretty much sorted the kids to take them to the pub for dinner, not such a success, as the pub was booked out, so we had to sit at a table for 4 (there was 6 of us plus Emmy in a high chair), and i wasn't happy with my calamari, ah weel.

We kicked on back at home, by cracking the wine, and unloading the scrapping supplies. The boys had gone to the footy. We had a blast, me scrapping and Annie making her wonderful cards, all to the tunes of Boney M and other fun tunes on You tube... The boys also took the kids to the park on the Sunday after i cooked up bacon and eggs, so we continued a bit more of creativity.
I had a wonderful time Anth, you are a very special friend, love ya long time, hehe, mwah! I can't wait to catch you again soon.. Bendigo next time.
