an off the page item to inspire Gail to create (LOL)
Hi Gail,
here it is just for you. All i did was paint it, add some decorative edged card strips around the sides (which I inked), some patterned paper to the top, with a piece of the decorative edge card across the middle, a blossom at one end and a chipboard swirl at the other. I also attempted some faux stitches along the patterned paper, but the pen bleed, oh well.
So i will see your finished one by the end of tonight Gail. LOL
Cheers Karen
P.S - now if I could get the chipboard princess crown album finished, that I purchased at Stitches i would be happy!

A layout
Thought I would pop in to share the layout I did Friday night at the little crop I went to with my sissy. Harry loves dressing up, in all sorts of weird and wonderful outfits. This day he wondered out of his bedroom with army shorts, pj top, and various other army bits from his toys sets. He is a cutie.
OK night.

Happy Birthday my sweet baby boy
Well not such a baby any more. 4 years ago at 0125 in the morning on the 18th April, Harry was ripped from my with forceps (the big sucker was stuck), left him with a fractured clavicle at the time). He has been a lucky boy with a 4 day party celebration. On Thursday we took a cake to kinder so he could have a little party with his mates. Then on Friday, the day of his brthday I took him to Kinder again, because they had the 'zoo comes to you', wildlife animals. he loved it. Then that night we went out to a local pub, which has a big play room in it. The whole family went, including Auntie Kimmy, and my good friend Jess. Then on Saturday we went to swimming and the jumping castle was delivered early. Harry's cousin also arrived early that evening so they had a blast playing. Then on Sunday we had a party for family and Harry's mates from kinder. A morning tea sort of thing. The kids had a fab time running around from the jumping castle with slide, to the trampoline and the cubby house. Harry is absolutely exhausted, and already asleep at 7 o'clock.
My sister and I also snuck in a quick scrap at the local shop on Friday night, I got nearly 2 done. will share at another time when I can scan them. For now I have some snaps of the wildlife visit. This was great, the pythons were soo big. She explained all the animals, and let the kids pat them all. In amongst the pics is one of harrys pressies from the family (he got a scooter, the hot wheels racing track, a spiderman beanie and a ninja turtles windcheater, all of which cost less than $100, not bad i reckon), his card I made is also there and his lollie bags, they looked very cute. I will be back to load his party pics during the week. There is a great pic of jess and Harry out for dinner, they had a face painting chic. So Harry wanted to be an army man. jess's husband is currently in Iraq. You know if you click in the pics they will enlarge too. OK gotta get back to my Sunday night viewing. No pizza tonight, too full of my delicious home made sausage rolls and the cake I had for dinner. hehe. Love party food. I also bought the recipe book 4 ingredients during the week. So hopefully can whip up a few delish meals this week.
A big wave and thanks to my gorgeous sister and Auntie leia for there help with all of the party bits. I appreciate you both, and I love it when you stay and we have a good catch up. xxxxxxx
Thanks also to Uncle Jon Jon for your running around and doing dvds, and fixing the laptop programs, you're a champ.
Thanks for stopping by loyal followers. :)

Simple Card as a thank you
I needed a quick, yet (hopefully) effective card to send to ladies when they book a workshop. So this is what I came up with. So easy, and it is sweet I think. Using the divine Baroque Motifs and the awesome scallop punch. Must haves i think.
Recipe;
Stamps - Baroque Motifs, Much Appreciated
Ink - Pretty in Pink, Sage Shadow
Card - Pretty in Pink, Whisper White
Accesories - Scallop Punch
(it is a lot more crisp and fresh in real life)
I hope they like it..
Cheers Karen

Dance elimination
Has just started and all i will say is GO Rhys and Kate...Loved their performance last night. Rhys the little elf is my PICK for overall winner.
Catch ya later.
addit or P.S - shit I had to come back to say how bloody awesome were the cirque de soleil duo. WOW. Mark and I went a few years back, and were a little disappointed. Probably to do with all of they hype. But my goodness, they were phenomonal.
Ok going again

Finally!
Finally I get a chance to come back and have a catch up. I have been busy with kids, ENJO, Stampin' Up! and life in general. I also had a couple of days of feeling unwell a few weeks ago. I had nausea and indegestion all day for 2 days, and felt blah in general. Went to the GP at work on day 3, and he thought it was probably reflux, and maybe an ulcer. I have had indegestion with both pregnancies, and almost daily since Emmy. Bought on more so with wine (unfortunately) and usually at night. Anyway he gave me 2 weeks of tablets which reduce the acid in my stomack. I am happy to report that I felt awesome, and had not a sign of indegestion while on the pills. I finished them last weekend or so, and have had indegestion, although mildly ever since. So best go back for a review. (For your interest he did a pregnancy test, and NO I am NOT pregnant, LOL).
I had 2 ENJO demos this weekend, thanks, over $400.00 commission and I have also had 2 enquiries for SU workshops, 1 booking and a query about becoming a demonstrator. I am also in the middle of finalising things for Harry's party this weekend. My family will all be here, which I love. Might even get to go to a crop Saturday night. Have babysitting options. Even Mark may be home, he was going to Geelong to the footy, but he can't get any mates to go, so he has cracked it.
Harry has had a temp on Saturday, over 40 again, but no real other symptoms. Was ok today though. he had a mates 4th bday party. They went on a fire engine ride, which he loved. Harry also had a huge spew in his car seat on Monday, out of the blew he said he felt ill (yea, something must be going on). Now this wasn't in my afternoon schedule damn it. I fully planned to scrap. So now I had to take his car seat out of the car and scrub it. Eeeew.
We also had a trip to see a surgeon for Emmerson. My little sweetsie has a lump between her lower sternum and belly button. I wasn't too concernec, but it had been there since November, and I thought it was maybe getting bigger(I had spoken to a paediatrician over the phone about it in December). The GP said to see a surgeon , as I was asking for a new referral to our paediatrician. Anyway as it turns out she has a hernia, which will need a repair, but can wait until she is 3. The reason for this is just to make sure she doesn't need any other ops (such as ears, tonsils), and then they will all be done together. She is also fully walking, woo hoo. She does look very cute wobbling around.
Ok 11 pm, so best get some beauty sleep.
Enjoy our zoo pics. We had a fab day. The zoo gets better every time we go.
Cheers Kaz

Priorities,
Well I am at work, but thought I would pop in, as it has been nearly a week, and I am sure you are chomping at the bit to hear what has been happening.
well i have had to prioritise my time, and bloggin hasn't been in the equation. There are exciting things happening, and pics of the zoo to come. Soooo more on that later.
we had a fab time at the zoo, so stay tuned (hopefully tonight in between other priorities of doing my SU newsletter) I will get a lovely Picasa collage happening for you. Because I am at work I have no wonderful inspiring cards or layouts for you, or cute pics of the kids, but I do have this on my usb drive. A cute clip board I made, which currently has Harry's RSVP list for his party on it.
OK til later

Maybe I should get the football stamps from the new SU catty. Hmmmm. This is my newest set, which I used for harry's invites, so it was the first I grabbed out.

Ink - Very Vanilla, pumpkin pie (how cute)
Card - Only orange, brillant blue, tempting turquoise
Accesories - Round tab punch
Ok, best go to bed, we are off to the zoo tomorrow. Something the kinder organised, and we thought would be a nice day out seens as it is Yata's birthday. We started the celebrations with Mexican tonight, having breakfast in the morning. Looks like I better make a cut lunch.

LOL, LMAO, hehehe
Sorry I am just watching an ad for some Vileda mop. Puhlease!!!
Anyway, back to my post..
Thanks for your comments, and so an update on the fish. I am afraid to say that i couldn't swap it. I don't think I believe in that, I think children need to understand the life cycle, and death is part of that. I think Harry is at an age where he can understand it, and deal with it. He also lost Bear the Dog, so it wasn't a new topic. i want Harry to be well rounded and versed in all aspects of life. So I was happy to allow him the opportunity to deal with his fish dying.
So.... I couldn't stand looking at the dead thing on the bench anymore (I had taken him out of the vase, as he was going a bit white in areas. So i took him out and put him on a tissue on the bench. Hence I told Harry I had something sad to tell him. Anyway he was upset for about 10 or 15 minutes, sat with the fish, patted it, we gave our finger a kiss and put it to the fish etc. Then when Mark got home we buried it, in a pot with our Yukka. Harry didn't want to put him in the toilet so his sole could go up to heaven. So i put a bit of patterned paper around the outside of an old film canister and then tied a piece of ribbon around it, and in went Dorynemo. I thought it was awesome, LOL. Again harry was upset at the time of the funeral, but was fine after 10 minutes, and hasn't mentioned him since. Except to ask this morning why I had put the sand and shells in the vase (from another vase thing I had put away). i told him I thought it looked nice and it reminded us of the beach where the fishies are.
OK, sorting my first Stampin' Up! newsletter. Just post a comment if you would like to subscribe.
I have no pics or creations to share, sorry peoples.
Soon I promise.
luv Kaz

The ultimate trade in...
Enjo is committed to the environment, and it is for this reason we have the ultimate trade in for the month of April. ENJO fibres are a high quality product that cleans your house for years. But like anything, they don't last forever. ENJO suggest fibres will last between 2 - 3 years depending on which fibre and how often you use them. If you would like a copy of our quartely mag ENJO For You let me know. The latest edition has pictures of what worn out fibres look like (if you email me, you will recieve this handy publication via email 4 times a year). You may feel your old fibres are working, but not only will they be making you clean harder, they won't be as efficient. A worn glove does not have the fibre tecnology which stops the transfer of your dirt and bacteria to other surfaces, therefore you will be transfering germs (and dirt) all around the place.
Three times a year ENJO Australia fill up a 40 foot shipping container with old fibres. They get sent back to Austria, and turned into felt, where it is then used as insulation, or lining under car seats. How cool.
So you have 2 options -
1/. trade in 1 glove for a 10% discount on a newfibre (any fibre, doesn't have to be the same as what you traded in) OR
2/. trade in 1 glove for a huge pack with a 25 % saving
The ultimate trade in pack consists of -
* dust glove and indoor miracle
* bathroom glove, bathroom miracle, bathroom mini and bathroom handy fibre
*kitchen glove, kitchen miracle, kitchen mini, kitchen handy fibre and cutlery and glass miracle
* 2 (two) All purpose cloths
* outdoor glove and outdoor miracle
* BBQ glove and BBQ miracle
All this for only $445.00. That is 17 products, and a saving of $147.00 (%25 off).
(Note the picture is missing the minis and 1 all purpose). So call me to trade in, or book a demo. Just think if you purchase this pack, you already qualify for a free hostess reward. So yes, you could throw in a flexi or window cleaner for free.
So help us full the container and get your trade ins to me before the end of April.
Oh and our mothers day specials are yummy, 2 options, and for only $80 and $69. I will upload pics, just waiting for our new bamboo face cloth, which is sooo soft.
Gorgeous, lovely, superb
Did you know dead fish.....
SINK!!
me neither. Until last night. When I got home from a meeting last night, I thought i better see if he would eat. Poor Nemodory had not been well. And I knew this because he wasn't eating, and for a few days had been vertical. But every now and then he would have a swim around. I looked in his bowl and couldn't see him. But this wasn't unusual because he often blended in, but I still I had a "sinking" feeling in my stomach. So on closer examination I found him. Laying along the bottom of the bowl.I stuck my hand in, in case he was just resting. But alas, there was no movement. He is still there, and I am yet to tell Harry. I am not sure what do to. I mean he barely acknowledged the fish, but he has an obsession with death, and often remembers that our other dog Bear is dead, and ends up unconsolouble, and says he misses him, and wants him to come down from heaven, etc. He also frequently asks when I am going to die, or says he doesn't want me to do. So I am waiting to see if he notices, and if not, I may mention it closer to 2 pm, as I have to take Emmy for her vaccination, and it is close to a pet shop, so I can soften the blow, with a new one. And the toilet burial of course.
(See post for 3 Aug 07, for a lovely pic of Nemodory. He was a lovely fish, and I think him and I had a bond. He used to look at me lovingly, and also get excited when I got out the fish food. The way to a man's heart, I know!!).
Mark did a Tri on Sunday, and out of how ever many cam about 300th, he was happy. He also came third in his age group in the tri series he competed in recently. So he was shocked and stoked. So I was very proud of him, because he really does love it. It is actually his 39th (OMG) birthday this weekend, and I am wondering what on earth to get. maybe a new tri man outfit.
Harry is back to himself, although still tires easily and coughing like an old man. But you have to expect those post viral coughs, which can last for weeks.
Emmy had her 18 month check yesterday, (she is actually 19 months now) and she did very well. She is average for all her measurements, but did really well in her other checks (stacking blocks, doing things asked like where is the duck in the book). And when we left the nurse said, "she's doing very well" and I replied, yea she is, and she said something back like "no she really is good". So I know this was her way of saying that Emmerson is gifted. LMAO. and she is walking now, more than crawling, so that is good. I will leave a pic of her for you to see the cuteness, so you don't get bored with all my babble.
Take Care, Love Kaz
