Weekend creations

Here are my 2 layouts I mentioned. I am very happy with both of them, so that is always a bonus.
The one of Emmy uses some retired papers from Stampin' Up! and the one oh Harry uses Basic Grey.
Cheers and thans for stopping by.
P.S feel free to leave a comment, I am feeling a bit neglected from all of my stalkers, or ...maybe I have none!

Life rushing by

That it is, I really would just like 1 extra hour in every day. It would be a huge help.
Been busy as usual. Had a trip to Echuca the weekend before last. Stayed at my good friend Andrea's. We all had a wonderful time. Harry loves Mitchell (who is 8), and they play very well together. We had a casual little SU workshop on the Friday night with 2 of Andrea's friends and my sister Kim came and stayed. Everyone had a wonderful time, and liked their cards and layout we did, and your goodies should arrive by Friday. On the Saturday I did my BEST ever ENJO demo, sales were huge. These girls know a great product when they see them. On the Saturday night we enjoyed yummo homemade pizzas(thanks hon) and then shipped the kids off to bed, and did a bit of scrapping. On Sunday the kids and I went to Cohuna and had lunch with my Mum and Dad, brother Jon and his wife Leia, and their boy Bain, who is Harry's good mate. Sunday night we enjoyed a delicious roast (thanks again hon, hehe). Headed back to the big city on Monday, with a drive by thu Bendigo and a stop off at Annie's (HI mate).
This week I have had work, and another SU workshop, a great bunch of woman who meet regulary, and they must have been happy enough with me, because 4 of them booked their own workshop. I do love teaching this wonderful craft, and I am really enjoying the ease and flexibility of Stampin Up! products. On Saturday night I headed to the scrapping super store Paper 2 in Mornington. I got 2 and half layouts done. I am really happy with them, and of course they need a few finishing touches and then i will share them.
Yesterday we went and had a family photo shoot in Richmond. I 'won' a free shoot and 1 photo (10 x 15 I think, about A4 size). I agreed because they are a proper, professional photo studio, and I have been desperate for a nice family portrait. The prices of their packages are outrageous ($2500 - $5000). I would love one of the big canvases, but I am sure they are at least $400 or $500. We go back next Saturday for our viewing, where they have whittled down the 100 odd shots to 30 or 40. and we check them out in their thetre room, on a mega huge viewing screen, like a whole wall big. Chill with a glass of wine and watch to some music was how it was described. They took cool shots. Us chasing the kids, spinning the kids around in the air, Yata piggy backing me,all of us running towards the camera (I think this one will be the pick). So that is it up til now. Here are some pics from our trip to Echuca.

Happy Mothers Day

CLICK ON THE IMAGES TO SEE A LARGER VERSION
Hi Everyone,
well it has been awhile. I have just been so busy and/or tired to blog. Between ENJO demos, SU workshop, work and kids, blah!! But here I am tonight to wish all the mummies out there a very happy day.
I started the day with Harry coming up to greet me with his very cute card he made at kinder and a plaster of his hand, this was followed by Emmy with her sweet card and homemade shortbread she made at creche. Then Harry had my present of cool Elmo flanelette PJs. This was much appreciated as I have had to get my own present , or suggest it other years. So I am sitting here typing this all cosy.
After mark made me a coffee we got organised and went to a lovely cafe in Hampton for breakfast. Super organised as we were there by 0830 am. After our breakfast we wondered up Hampton Street and window shopped. Saw a great doll house, which I think will be mandatory for Emmerson's 2 nd birthday pressie.
We then headed home, mark went for a bike ride, and when he got home I headed to the movies. Had a bite to eat in peace and then saw Forgetting Sarah Marshall. I enjoyed this , but it was predictable. I headed home to be with my sweet children, who bring me soo much love and joy. Amongst all of the challenges and trials, there is nothing like the love of mother and child, and I feel blessed to have this.
The photos are of my pressies and card, the kids enjoying their breakfast, a crap pic of the 3 of us, as neither of them would look at the camera, and also of the kids playing in a sign on the street. I am now enjoying a dvd with my husband, I am Legend, I knew the bloody dog would die!

Will also leave you with a sweet little 6 x 6 layout which was the make and take at my workshop yesterday. All images are copyright Stampin' Up!. Design by me!

Cold!!

Well I am not usually one to complain about the weather, because it is what it is, and you can't change it.Also since having kids, my thermostat just doesn't seem to function properly, and I love that in Melbourne we have such a variety. But I have to say that it has been so cold, and it isn't even winter. The sun is out today so that is nice. What i do hate over winter is the laundry drying all over the house (actually that is an exageration, but you get what I mean).
I had my first Stampin' Up! workshop on Friday night, Hi Anita and Co... I had a fun time with a lovely bunch of ladies. I think they enjoyed the card they made, and I enjoyed showing them how SU is so easy to use and look so great. A few things went a bit crazy, but I think that was more the way SU do things. No real hostess summary, which meant there was paper work everywhere, and hard to co ordinate rewards and who has paid etc. So I designed my own, and will give it a trial run next week. But I worked Anit'as out on it, fined tuned it, and I like it!
The card featured here i made for Annie, who had her birthday on Friday. The lucky bugger had a night away with her hubby last night. Still in her home town, but minus kids would be heaven. Hope you had a wonderful time darling.
Hey Gail I am super impresses with all of your posts. Good job!

I have been coveted and hunted down...

LOL......
Well its is offical, I am proud to say I am a design team member for a lovely lady named Leanne at www.madaboutscrappin.com.au . (My bloody links are not working, anyone know why??). Leanne approached me a month ago asking if I would be interested in being the designer for her sweet little shop which has a dedicated following. I was more than happy to step up and offer her customers some inspiration (I hope). Leanne was sad to see me go from my previous position and very positive about my layouts, saying she had admired my style for a long time, which was much appreciated. Your family often like your work, but as a scrapper many of us doubt ourselves.
Why not head over to Mad about Scrappin and sign up for the newsletter. Mad about Scrappin has comeptitions and lots of reasonably priced products. Never know you might get yourself a bargain, or win a prize. Hey join me in the forum and lets chat scrap together with other girls from around Australia.
Here are my first 2 layouts for the monthly kits.

Happy Scrappin'
Cheers Karen
