RAK winner

Thanks for your comments guys. I love hearing from my friends and family. It is why i started a blog. The winner of my RAK (random act of kindness) is ......LEIA. WOO hoo Leia, congrats. Your mystery surprise pressie will be in the mail soon. The winner was drawn out of my tupperware jug by Harry. He then wanted me to take pictures of him with all the entries, he he.
Had a quite weekend, other than I did ENJO demos Saturday and Sunday, sold over $2000, so that was good. Great demo yesterday, the ladies splashback was covered in grease spatters, and of course the green kitchen glove took it straight off with an effortless wipe.
I still have to finish my assignment, it is due in Friday. I have only written about 600 words, and it is required to be about 3000, so better get my arse into gear. I should of worked on it last night, but couldn't be bothered. Instead I did my LO for the Scrappit DT challenge 'something unusual in my life'. I couldnt think of what to do, but came up with something, not what one would normally scrap, but I love the end result. It will be out in the scrappit newsletter on Monday /Tuesday. Sign up if you don't already get it. I will post it here in a couple of days too.
OK best get H and myself some breakfast, and then set up my assignment bits and pieces.
Have a great week,
Cheers Kaz

4 in less than 4 : )

I can't believe i went to a scrapping crop tonight. I actually had a demo that was postponed, and thought great I need to work on my assignment, then it dawned on me there was a scrapathon at the LSS. So I asked DH if he minded, and he encouraged me. I put together pics and papers and a few embellishments for 4 LO , hoping i would get at least 3 done, and low and behold I got all 4 done. I am very excited, as I didnt start scrapping until 7 pm and I was home by 20 past 10. What a phenomal effort. I mean they are no Masters level, but hey they go alright. LOL. Ok night night. And Imust say I offered a RAK on my last comment and I have 1 comment, you are all crossed off the christmas list. Beat it as Harry would say, he he.

My New Toy : )

Well I must admit I have finally joined the club. For some time now I have told myself that I don't need an SLR camera, and I would not know what to do with one. But as a scrapper I kept having the desire to take my hobby that bit further. Needless to say Harvey Norman sucked me right in with their 32 months interest free deal , and then out comes there brochure with the camera in it. So in I went and applied, and walked out with my new baby, a Canon 400 D digital SLR camera. Woo Hoo. Now i need to learn how to use it. There is a bargain 2 day course in Geelong in September, which i think I may do. I got the silver because i thought it was much sexier.

I have been having a bit of a play, and except for the dirt on my floors (LOL) I think these shots are fantastic. Ok, thats it for know. Cheers people.

P.S thanks for your comments, I love knowing you are there. i think I might do a RAK (random act of kindness) I will draw a name out of a hat of all of the people who leave me a comment in the next 7 days, ending on Sunday at 5pm. I have seen this on a couple of blogs now, and it is a lovely gesture. So drop by and say Hi, and you may just be the winner of my mystery prize.

I HAd A gReAT wEeKenD!!

sHIT, i JUST TYPED UP A HEAP, AND BLOODY LOST IT.

So in a nut shell...

My bestie Annie came down on Friday and we went for a lovely Thai dinner and then grooved on down to Rod Laver Arena to see Keith Urban do his twanging thing. He was soo good. He looked delicious and sounded wonderful. My only prob was that he did no old stuff from when I first started to like him. But didn't matter because he sounded great, and we had floor seats and when he walked along his catwalk thing we were only about 10 metres away. His lovely wife Nicole was there, looking very natural and gorgeous. Then on Saturday we did a make and take crop, hard and fast, 2 double and 2 single layouts in 5 hours. Woo Hoo, what fun. I have posted a couple of them in the gallery at www.scrappit.com.au, if you want a look.

Then today we had a lovely breakfast with friends who just had a baby 3 weeks ago.

The kids are both coughing like old men, and Emmerson has a ear infection and possible pneumonia. ON antibiotics, and improving i think, but miserable if i don't drug her on Nurofen. I have been spewed on several times in the last few days, eeeew!!

Gotta go do dishes, washing and work on a LO for Scrappit.

Cacth ya soon.

Slow Cooker

Just realised this had never been published, dunno what happened there.

I bought a new slow cooker, in order to save my life. I have become the slackest mum/wife/cook of late. After "whats good for you" told me frozen and tinned vegies are ok, I haven't looked back, Jeez they are just soooo handy. Yet I wanted to take it a step further and try something else, that will provide simple, trouble free, tasty meals. and I didn't want to leave too much responsibility for DH when I go back to work, that 2 kids is enough to deal with. (whatever) hence the slow cooker. So I am trialing it tonight. Results TBA soon.

Finally finally finally finally!!!!

Well goodness me, after all this time I have finally gotten my dream job. After originally writing a letter to the respiratory doctor at work in I think 1998 explaining the need for a respiratory nurse, and then having several jobs come up whilst I was heavily pregnant, and then also when both children were too young to send to creche ( for me), I was phoned last week and offered 2 days a week as a paediatric asthma educator at our local community health centre. Woo Hoo. It is for 9 months, but looks promising to continue.I get to go to work and do something i love, know and am good at.

I am very excited, as I wasnt that keen to go back to my old job, didnt like it at all.
So I am going back to work 1 month early, my poor baby girl, but they are great at Harry's creche, and Harry will still be there, and cause i will only be 5 mins away, maybe i can still go for a lunch feed, although that may be too distressing. I decided 10 .5 months old, 11.5 months old is not really too much difference, and the extra months pay will be well worth it.

I am looking into an update for my own skills, to make sure I am up to date with latest drugs and stuff,

So that is my news for the day.

Catch ya all soon.
