What up Dowg?

What Up indeed. Gosh this week has just gotten away, and this is the longest I have not updated for ages.
I just don't have the energy to think about what I have been up to , and then type it down. LOL.
So quickly, because I have to zip off and cook some easy Saturday night dinner -
our weekend away to Deni was lovely, as i said, so here is a cute pic of my dearest sissy and Harry and Emmy , who both adore her. And our dogs Taffy and Maisy, who also adore each other.
I have had my mum here for the last couple of days, and it was nice to just chill. We did all go to see King Fu Panda, so that was a fun little excursion.
I had 2 ENJO demos, and 1 stampin up one the weekend before, so that was hectic, but has contributed to my over $1000 commission this month. And to top it off I earned over $350 for the bank nursing shift I did recently. So I am heading back TONIGHT for a night duty, uuugh, god help me stay awake. Think of the money, think of the money.
OK, off to cook dinner and prepare to go to work.
Catch ya soon.

Trashy TV

Here is a layout featured over at Mad about Scrappin. This is one of the June Kits, featuring the best pic I could get of me and the kids on mothers day. Oh well, I tried. The delish papers are Pink Martini design. Click on the link on the side bar to check out all of leanne's great Mad kits.
Nothing like a bit of trashy TV to top off my night. I am settled on the couch watching Denise Richards it's complicated on Foxtel. I have actually been looking forward to it, because I always liked her, from Starship Troopers way back and then ever since her pash with Neve Cambell in Wild Things, that sealed it, LOL. I always thought she was attractive, with gorgeous normal figure and lovely breasts (No I am not a lesbian, but I do appreciate nice bosoms). Anywa, I don't mind a bit of reality TV about stars. I mean how much is 'real' is left to be decided. But still.

WE had a wonderful weekend in Deniliquin, other than hitting 2 kangaroos simultaneously on the way there. Bloody scarey. 4 of them came bouncing across the road and we hit 2, one each side of the car. Damage of broken headlight, and cracked bumper. Better ring our insurance. We took Taffy and she had a lovely time with her cousinf Maisy. We took them for a bath in the doggy 'car' wash. Too funny. But she smells lovely and is smooth and shiny. My ENJO demo was great, lovely bunch of girls, and profitable as always.
Got a busy weekend with ENJO and Stampin' Up!. I get to take my rolling work station (also known as the mothership) on its maiden voyage. Can't wait, such a compact practical trolley. HOW SEXY!!

OK gotta go , now watching a bit of Kimora life in the fab lane, LMAO

have a great week.
Cheers

Career Change

Yes I think I might design and make wedding invites, hehe!
At my last workshop they asked for some wedding invite samples. So I whipped up these three.
(Design copyright ME and images copyright Stampin' Up!).
My fave is the brown one. Love it. And the silver embossed one has some smudges on it because I did not have my embossing buddy.
I have no time for listing recipes this time, so if you really need to know, just leave a comment.
Anyway, I am all packed up and ready to head off to DENILIQUIN> The whole family, husband , dog and all are going for a little weekend away. Kim has some jobs for Mark, and I also slotted in an ENJO demo in Echuca. Should be nice. I have packed a couple of LO, so here's hoping I can squeeze in a bit of creativity.
Good news on the real news front, I get to keep my job. You may or may not remember I was filling in for someone, who had since resigned. They were then meant to advertise the job, then delayed it until the end of the financial year. Now they have decided that really that is all in the too hard basket, and so I can just have it. Haven't signed official documents yet, but only a matter of time. Woo Hoo, that is a huge relief.

OK best do some last minute packing. Catch you next week, have a great weekend.

Sex and the City

Well I was in the city, but there was no sex, LOL. But Kim and I had a fab time. The movie was fantastic. Lots of laughs, tears (happy and sad) and popcorn. It really was a great chick flick that kept you interested. We attempted to enjoy a dinner afterwards, but unfortunately it was a shambles, from taking forever, missed meals and shit food, lets just say the mexican on Saturday night made up for it.

I had Harry at the doctors at the start of the week with conjunctivitis and mild periorbital cellulitis (which is infection around the eye socket, can lead to meningitis), so he missed kinder this week, and the 2 of us spent some nice time at home together. He had drops and antibiotics, and is just getting over a terrible cough that was all linked. I woke to find Emmerson with a crusty mucky eye, jeez. So i have been loading her with drops today. It's all blood shot, yucko.

I went to ALDI today to shop, fair dinkum I hate it. Squashy aisles, no variety, none of the things I want, and a line up a mile long, aaargh. How much money did i really save, honestly. Anyway, I found this cheap in one of the aisles.

It was very cheap, and luckily there is a returns policy. hehehe.

I am also an Auntie again, my brother Leigh and his wife Paula had another little boy, Bohdi. Congrats guys. Now I need to find a spare minute to get over to Werribbe to visit.
I have just sent out my Stampin' Up! newsletter, if you would like to recieve it, please follow the link at the side. I am enjoying sharing some creativeness with people, it is a lot of fun.
Ok nightie night.

Well Stampin' Up is being very generous this month with another special for you! This time it's for hostesses. The $80 is for workshops of $700 - the higher this figure the higher the benefits and the $50 is still added onto them. This promototion runs to the 15th of July - so call me soon to book your event - June is almost full and July is booking up fast!!!

How do you take a pulse again??

Hmmmm I wonder. I best remember pretty quick, as i head off this afternoon to do my first shift as a bank nurse on the lovely paediatric ward at Cabrini hospital (yes of Sam Newman and Kylie Minogue fame), renowned as a quality private hospital long before those two spent time there! I have not looked after a 'real' patient for some years. Since i was pregnant with Emmy i think, and that was only a couple of shifts, and then not since before Harry. As I am currently doing asthma education, so no clinical role, and before that doing care co-ordination of frequent presenters since the end of 2003 (I think, memory is going on me as I head over the hill, LOL).

So as I try to recoup some costs of leaving full time work, and yet maintain the (scapping) lifestyle I have become accustomed to, i head off into the sunset to do a shift here or there. I am really looking forward to it, and the ward are excited to have an 'expert' medical nurse in their midst. They have regular surgical patients, and some medicals, but the asthmas, bronchiolitis and croup kiddies scare them a bit. They are my fave, love a sick respiratory patient. So we will be able to learn from each other. and Mark will be happy to see some money hit the bank, as he finds it hard to see the ENJO as comission, as it is often paid in cash on delivery, and then we spend it. So the $900 odd dollars commission for April and the $800 odd for the month before that goes unnoticed. The stampin up money is bits here and there, and I spend half of it before it hits the banks, LOL. But at least I am paying my own way.
We went and looked at our gorgeous photo shoot pics yesterday. They were so divine, but at $2000 for a frame of 9 of our faves, we had to say no.So I will be content for my free framed family snap as a consolation to seeing what we could look like. The bugger is, even if you did buy the package, you still don't get all the other pics on a disc. So that sucks, http://www.verveportraits.com.au/ check out the style if you like. They take them in a massive room all painted white, looked fab for the end result. The shots were just beautiful. Mark swinging Harry around, me swinging Emmy, harry looking thru his legs, reading stories, all of us running towards the camera, some delightful shots of the kids looking pure and innocent, and some lovely ones of Mark and I. But really $2000 on photos, sorry. I mentioned a friend of a friend who does a bargain shoot, and then you get the disc for a song, (you know who you are) so in the near future, we will consider this), with just as gorgeous candid, funky shots.
I am excited as Kim is coming down on the Thursday and we are going to see Sex and the City for free, woo hoo. (Thanks Austrahealth, the nursing agency I am with).
Harry is good, enjoying swimming, and Fizzed (gym and ball activities), the teacher actually said he should do gymnastics because he has a very natural and good balance and style on the tramp. He has also seen a speech therapist at work recently to see how he was going. He talks long sentences, has an awesome vocab, very mature thought processes, but uses w for a lot of letters, and for some blended sounds, which is common for many kids. Like wock, wireman, wour, wishy, weind). I know that many sounds are developed later, some even up the the age of 7 years. But I though I would just get it checked out, to make sure he wasn't behind, and if we could help him progress. He did very well, and most of his mispronounced sounds are later ones, like s, z, ch, j and v are by 6 years, and th and r are by 7 years. By 5 they should have f, l and sh, but like anything there are also ranges of who thinks what is expected. So the speechie thought he should have f and so has given us some excercies. We also have another year and a half before school, so plenty of time. Otherwise he is an active, adventourous and enquisitive 4 year old. He is also very loving, and has a sweet nature (when he is not being a terror, hehe).Emmy si just delightful, and for a just turned 21 month old, has a huge range or words, and even uses 4 worded sentences, clever girl. She has unruly hair, which looks cute clipped, or in a piggy tail, but she leaves them in for about 1 minute. I will persist. She is running everywhere now, but still only has 6 teeth. One of the molars has just popped throuh, barely, which is the 7th.
Mark has had a month off with his training and is now back into doing bike rides and runs for upcoming triathalons. I think he has his eyes on one in Margaret River, or Noosa in Sept / Octoberish. He is also pretty much working for another guy now in order to get a steady income, and therefore prevent getting customers demand his time at all hours any day of the week, and then long after the job is finished, and then not paying.

I have featured an all Stampin Up! product only 6 x 6 layout, which my lovely girls in Echuca made recently. Love these papers, so boyie!(Design by me, all images copyright Stampin' Up!)...
Recipe:
Inks - Chocolate Chip, Pumpkin pie
Card - Close to Cocoa, chocolate chip, pumpkin pie
Stamps - Priceless, Wild about You
Other - Spiral punch, Corner punch, cropidile, Outlaw paper series, ribbon, eyelet
Enjoy your Sunday (as I slave away at work, LOL)
